I’m a huge diy, figure-it-out-yourself-er. I love to learn, and make, and share what I learn.
I have a passion for nature and natural living. My two biggest obsessions right now are cut flowers and sourdough.
I am a foodie with a penchant for winging recipes. We are an “ingredient” household- as much as I kick myself for it sometimes- so I am always making delicious meals from simple ingredients.
I learned if I want good food, I need to make the good food. You will find my recipes here, along with sourdough tips, and everything homesteading.
These are my people
My husband Aaron and I have been married for 10 years. He’s the most amazing, supportive man I could have ever asked for. He’s the one who builds the coop when we get chickens, and hauls the yards of mulch when I plot gardens. He picks up the pieces of household duties I drop during my pregnancies and postpartum. I absolutely adore the guy and could never chase my passions the way I do without him.
Together, we have 5 (soon to be 6) wild, funny, creative children that I have the joy to spend my days with, and homeschool during the year.
This is our homestead
We all dream of a house in the country with a nice chunk of land to homestead and play on. What we currently have is a tiny little house in the middle of our small town.
After years of renting, I was so thankful when we finally bought some land that would could call OURS.
I immediately planned gardens.
Then came the chickens.
And then came the market stand in the front yard.
I absolutely love this community and everything it has to offer. I have found so much fulfillment in being able to offer goods from our little homestead and cottage bakery.
